Does your schedule allow time to clean your oven? Or think a Professional Oven Clean would take too much time? An oven clean is recommended every 6 months. However, it is something that is often overlooked leaving our appliances neglected. The cost of a broken oven far outweighs the cost of hiring a professional oven cleaner. In this section, we will look to answer the question of ‘How long does a professional oven clean take?’
A professional oven cleaning process is somewhat lengthy, there is no exact time frame as there are many mitigating factors. The most obvious being the type of oven you have. A single oven has a faster process than a full range for example. However, the steps to clean them are somewhat similar. The steps to a professional clean are as follows.
Professional oven clean step-by-step guide
Firstly, a professional cleaner will always surround the area of the oven to make sure you won’t have to call in any additional cleaners. You can still use the kitchen during the clean as the majority of the work is done using dip tanks inside our vans.
The next process would be to remove any shelving within the oven. These would be cleaned in the dip tanks which are filled with caustic-free and eco-friendly cleaning solutions. Not only that, any knobs and glass panels can be removed to also be professionally cleaned.
Next in the professional cleaning process would be to clean the shell of the oven. This would again be done using eco-friendly and caustic-free cleaning solutions to ensure no corrosion occurs. This process would also get rid of any carbon or grease that may have been missed. The cleaning solution is a conscious effort to ensure your oven continues to perform to a high standard for longer.
Finally, while the professional oven clean is being completed the shelves and oven racks will be soaking in the eco-friendly cleaning solution. These would be ready to be placed securely back in their original place.
The final step in the process would be to remove the oven door to be professionally cleaned. They are disassembled, ready to remove any grease that’s been accumulated. The doors are then resealed securely before reattachment.
Often professional oven cleaners wouldn’t stop there. Many organisations offer additional cleaning services such as Microwaves or extractor fans for an additional cost. However, if that’s not an option for yourself then the process would be complete.
The Finished product.
While there are many steps to a professional oven clean. The time it takes to complete is shorter than you think. This is due to the majority of steps to a professional oven clean being done side by side. A professional single oven clean in this instance usually takes 1-2 hours to complete whilst any sizes above that taking up to 2 hours to complete. Considering this would be done by a professional using products that are safer for your oven than most supermarket brands. The time it would take to receive the same results using a DIY approach would be significantly longer and potentially be more costly.
